The pattern of expansion begun in Acts has continued, the Lord Jesus has continued to display his gracious power through his Spirit-filled people, not just 40 miles northwest of Jerusalem, but 2,000 miles northwest of Jerusalem, across Europe, separated by the expanse of the Mediterranean Sea, the European mainland, and the Irish Sea. Here, even in Wales, you will find Christians. Wales, to an even greater extent than Joppa, had been a place where Romans would come to escape—I mean really escape—but you can’t escape Christ in Wales any longer. Christianity is so ubiquitous with Wales that it forms part of Cymru’s national identity.
