All the widows stood round him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them (Acts 9:39). Needy saints, we must look out especially for the widows, who are such a huge part of this chapter. They must especially be cared for. We read in verse 41 that Peter took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows—again highlighting the neediness. The neediness of the church is met by Jesus, and he presented her to them alive. Do you know the widows of our church? Are you especially looking out for them? May it be so, and that you look out for the other needy people also.
