Other Notes
- Note that the Evangelical Movement of Wales Conference is taking place at the Great Hall in the Arts’ Centre. You are encouraged to attend all the meetings, from 7pm on Monday the 11th followed by the two meetings a day, Tuesday to Friday at 11am and 7pm. If you can only prioritise one, choose Tuesday, as there is no Prayer-Meeting on that day. Note, attendance in-person comes at a charge, e.g. a week-pass for a two-parent family is £244 (tickets here: https://emwbooks.com/collections/aber-conference-2026), if this is not within your budget, all meetings (including Tuesday night) are broadcast on YouTube (click here: https://www.youtube.com/@EMWorgUK).
- There is also a Welsh-language conference which takes place the following week https://www.mudiad-efengylaidd.org/ein-gwaith/cynadleddau-a-digwyddiadau/cynhadledd-cymraeg-aberystwyth/
- More information about Daniel and Kathleen Gula here: https://www.evangelical-times.org/mission-on-the-front-lines-evangelism-in-north-nigeria/
- Rhodri and the family plan to be away from the 24th – 31st of August.
- Whole-Church Prayer-Meetings: 4th, 18th / Small-Group Prayer-Meeting: 25th
- There will be no weekly Women’s Fellowship meeting until after the summer-break.
- Causeway continues to meet between 11 and 12:30 every Wednesday, it is a time of worship organised by the staff of the homes that grew out of Plas Lluest (the home for adults with learning disabilities set up by Alfred Place four decades ago). There is singing, reading, prayer, and sharing of the word, all geared at the Plas Lluest residents and others with additional needs. The format is usually singing until around 12, then Rhodri (or someone else) speaks, then there’s prayer, and then there’s tea and biscuits with an optional bring your now packed-lunch, followed by some more singing. It takes place in the Community Space in Tesco. All welcome (you don’t have to stay for the whole time).

- There will be no monthly Bible-Reading-Groups’ or Craft Club in July and August. But as a church we are still reading the Bible together, we are currently on Hosea. The next Bible-Book section will be
Numbers 1-20.
- When able to, those manning the Book-Table go out every Saturday (weather & personnel-permitting) 11am-12:30pm; members, speak to one of the elders if you are interested in joining the work.
