Other Notes
- Note that the Evangelical Movement of Wales Conference is taking place at the Great Hall in the Arts’ Centre. You are encouraged to attend all the meetings, from 7pm on Monday the 11th followed by the two meetings a day, Tuesday to Friday at 11am and 7pm. If you can only prioritise one, choose Tuesday, as there is no Prayer-Meeting on that day. Note, attendance in-person comes at a charge, e.g. a week-pass for a two-parent family is £244, if this is not within your budget, all meetings (including Tuesday night) are broadcast on YouTube (click here: https://www.youtube.com/@EMWorgUK).
- Note that we are still having a break from the special Good News Services for August, but do continue to invite friends and neighbours to the services; the gospel is preached in every service in AP.
- The Pilgrim’s Progress – A Guided Tour is a course curated by Ligonier Ministries which we’re running every other Monday in the basement. Derek Thomas (who was converted in Aber, became a member at AP and served as a deacon for a short time with us in the 1970s) is the video tour-guide. We listen to him for twenty minutes or so and then we talk over some discussion questions. We aim to be done within the hour. However, there are none of these meetings in August, we’re taking a break until the 1st of September.

- Whole-Church Prayer-Meetings: 19th only | Small-Group Prayer-Meeting: 5th & 26th
- There are three small-groups led by each of the elders. Speak to Rhodri, Ian, or Eric if you are interested in joining one of the other two small-groups.
- The weekly Women’s Fellowship is now on summer break.
- Causeway continues to meet between 11 and 12:30 every Wednesday, it is a time of worship organised by the staff of the homes that grew out of Plas Lluest (the home for adults with learning disabilities set up by Alfred Place four decades ago). There is singing, reading, prayer, and sharing of the word, all geared at the Plas Lluest residents and others with additional needs. The format is usually singing until around 12, then Rhodri speaks, then there’s prayer, and then there’s tea and biscuits with an optional bring your now packed-lunch, followed by some more singing. It takes place in the Community Space in Tesco. All welcome (you don’t have to stay for the whole time).

- There are still no monthly Bible-Reading-Groups’ in August, but we continue to read the Bible together as a church. We are currently on Joshua 1-20. All church-members are encouraged to read the chapters and to consider Christ as you do. The next Bible-Book-section will be Joshua 21-24.
- When able to, those manning the Book-Table go out every Saturday (weather & personnel-permitting) 11am-12:30pm; members, speak to Eric if you are interested in joining the work.
- Continue to pray for church children who are at camps this summer, and members who are volunteering on them. Ask for details.
- Rhodri and the family will be in London from August the 27th, to September the 1st.
