This gets right to the heart of everything because, do you remember right at the beginning when Adam and Eve sin against God? What is the curse that they are given? Death. From that moment, we have been dying, and from that point on, everything to do with us is to do with death. But everything to do with Jesus is to do with life.
You know who Jesus is; he’s the Christ. Christ means anointed one; he’s anointed with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who brings life, and Jesus is called the Son of the LIVING God.
So, everything to do with God is life, and everything to do with us is death. Everything else on offer brings death, but Jesus brings life. He says, ‘I’ve come that they may have life and have it to the full.’ (John 10:10). The world, the flesh, and the devil only want you to die; Jesus wants you to have a life. This is massive.
