As we saw last Sunday evening ‘at the name of Jesus every knee [will] bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.’ (Philippians 2:10-11). To which we could add the vision of Christ that John records for us in the book of Revelation— ‘On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.’ (19:16). Or his parting words to the disciples— ‘‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.’” (Matthew 28:18). It is essential that you see that Jesus is Lord.
