How might we take the doctrine of the sufficiency of scripture too far? Well, we could take it too far by saying that God is silent. God is not silent. It is wrong to say that God has not spoken since the end of the New Testament. But we need to speak in the right way about the way that God speaks. His revelation is complete, so we’re not expecting any new word from him. There’s nothing new that God wants to say; Jesus has had the last word.
He is Not Silent!
