When Isaiah told the church that every knee would bow before God, and every tongue would acknowledge him (chapter 43), he knew that this would be true for the whole world, not just the church, but every single person.
Perhaps you’re reading this on a church website, but you’re not part of a church. You may not even consider yourself a Christian. If that’s the case, you need to know this: you will very soon be bowing before the Lord. That knowledge—whether you like it or not—is your future. And when you give an account to God, it won’t be like the Christian’s account. Christians will answer for their lives, but they will also be told, “Here’s your place in heaven because of the blood of Jesus, because I love you, and you are my child.”
But for others, when you give an account to God, the response will be, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoer,” and you will be cast into the place of weeping and gnashing of teeth for eternity.
But the good news is that you don’t have to go to hell. You don’t have to be cast out of God’s good presence. You are invited to have the judgment of God placed on Jesus Christ instead of you. Repent of your sins, look to the Lord Jesus, and once you’ve experienced that forgiveness and reconciliation with God, you can begin to live as a Christian.
