How do we summarise Adam’s work as our representative? We summarise Adam’s work as our representative as disobedient. That is what he did; he disobeyed God, and through his disobedience, we were all made sinners. He was our representative, and so, if we are connected to him—which we all are when we are born—we are painted with the same brush as he is.
And yet, how do we summarise the ministry of the Lord Jesus? Well, we summarise it as a ministry of obedience, and through his obedience, the many are made righteous. And here’s the great thing… anyone who relies on the Lord Jesus is made righteous—that’s how it works.
